3 Signs You Should Replace Your Industrial Boiler Instead Of Repairing It

Posted on: 7 June 2017

If your place of business depends on an industrial-size boiler to power equipment, you might find yourself dealing with boiler repairs on a regular basis. Even though it can be a good idea to work with a boiler repair company to maintain your boiler and to have repairs done as needed, there are some situations in which buying a new one can be a better option. These are a few signs that it might just be time for your company to buy a new industrial boiler rather than making repairs to the one that it already has.

1. It's Old

First of all, you should consider the age of your industrial boiler. If it is quite old, it might be time to start looking for newer options, even if you haven't had very many issues with the older boiler so far. This is a good idea in many cases for two reasons. First of all, if it's an older boiler, you might start experiencing problems in the near future. Secondly, a newer boiler might have better safety features and might be more efficient, making it an overall better choice for your industrial work setting than an old unit.

2. It's Not Big Enough

You might have purchased the industrial boiler that seemed right for your company at the time. However, if your business has grown a lot since you purchased it, you might have found that it's barely able to keep up with the workload. If you have extended your business and its operations or if you are thinking about expanding operations sometime in the near future, you might find that going ahead and replacing a small, faulty boiler with a larger unit will be a better fit for your company's long-term needs.

3. It Needs Frequent Repairs

Even if you have a newer boiler, if you have found that you have to have it repaired all the time, it could not be the right fit for your business. If this is the case, replacing it with a new one could be a good way to avoid repair issues in the future.

As you can see, in some cases, repairing your industrial boiler is not the best idea. Instead, you might find that your company should consider replacing it. These are a few signs that it might be time to talk to a boiler repair professional to compare the benefits of repairing versus replacing your company's unit.
